To qualify for this final we had to win an indoor competition in March.

Thursday night's Five-a-Side final was played between Hednesford Town U13's and Rangers FC. The lads were 4-1 winners with goals from Jack Partridge 2, Charlie Ware 1, and Sam Harvey 1 and overall it was a comprehensive victory for all the lads.

We would like to congratulate the seven lads involved who took part in the competition. This was our first silverware of the season.

The lads involved were

Kieran Evans
Josh Meakin
Adam Weldon
Jack Partridge
Charlie Ware
Matt Williamson
Sam Harvey

Hednesford played their second semi-final in two weeks by taking on local rivals Wyrley Panthers in the A T Wellings Trophy. Hednesford started strongly and took the lead after four minutes with a well taken goal from Connor Shingler. Town then continued to create many chances and a second goal came from Charlie Ware on 25 minutes. In the 2nd half the game continued the same pattern with Hednesford taking the game to Wyrley and scoring a further three times, with Ben Martin scoring and Ware getting his second of the game and a great finish from Man of the Match Jack Partridge. A great team performance on the day saw us progress to the Cup Final.

Hednesford travelled to Worcester for the Third round of the South Staffs Cup and ran out convincing winners. The first half saw Town outplay Worcester leading 6-0 at half time with goals from Adam Weldon and Joe Collis and men of the match Charlie Ware (2) and Connor Shingler (2). Worcester came back at and scored two goals. But Hednesford also scored further goals from Sam Harvey and one more from Ware to complete his hat-trick.
